About

Fiction entertains because it inspires from pure speculation and it imagines what could or could never be. We can also learn from it, because narrative and story provide context in which we can make meaning of our world.

Fiction can play a role in framing our perceptions of things around us. But representations on film and TV do not always reflect reality. For this reason, our perceptions and understanding are at risk, because they can be shaped by accuracies and inaccuracies alike.

Science by Fiction explores the depiction of science and science culture in movies.
